How to choose an oven or furnace
- Drying oven or muffle furnace. Use a drying oven for drying, heat treatment and sterilisation (up to 300–350°C). For ashing, calcination and high-temperature processing choose a muffle furnace: Muffovan up to 1100°C (versions up to 1300°C) or Muffovan Ceramic with a ceramic chamber up to 1300°C.
- Air circulation in the oven. The Ovenvan N uses natural convection without forced air circulation (24 l model up to 200°C, 67 l up to 350°C, stability ±1°C). The Ovenvan F with forced air circulation gives higher temperature uniformity and faster heating (from +10°C above ambient to 300°C, stability ±0.3°C, AISI 304 chamber).
- Capacity. Ovenvan F from 20 to 420 l, Ovenvan N 24 or 67 l, Muffovan from 3 to 39 l, Muffovan Ceramic from 4 to 15 l — match it to the amount of material and the vessel size.
- Safety and equipment. Confirm the required safeguards and configuration for the selected model. The manufacturer lists OTP over-temperature protection for Ovenvan ovens as an accessory.
